Started by Matthew Carter in 1992 but not released before September 2017, DTL Flamande is based on textura types by the Flemish punchcutter Hendrik van den Keere, in particular the Gros Canon Flamande and the Parangonne Flamande, which both date from 1571. Comes with both gothic and roman capitals (latter added by Lukas Schneider), as Plantin combined Van den Keere’s Grasses capitales de 3 regles mediane with the lowercase of the Canon Flamande in his Psalterium from 1571.
