FotoStar/Facsimile Fonts. Appears in Berthold’s E1 catalog (1974)
with Facsimile Fonts credits in two weights, Light and Regular. The
former is distinguished by curved strokes in ‘krwR’ and a
horizontal stroke in ‘Q’. The glyph set in the Phil’s Photo catalog
(1980) shows that most of these glyphs were available as alternates
in the Regular, too. Shown in Photo-Lettering’s One
Line catalog (1971) as Handel.
Many digital versions. Bitstream’s has the Regular only.
Linotype’s and Elsner+Flake’s Handel Gothic EF have 3
weights, all with the curved letterforms. URW’s is largely
identical, but adds Compressed and Shadow styles, as well as
Handel
