Virtually identical to Monotype’s Figaro. Various sources are credited, from Typefounders of Chicago [Reichardt] to Kingsley/ATF [URW/MyFonts] and Stephenson Blake [Linotype/MyFonts]. The fact that the number (No. 536) is the same as the Figaro series suggests that it is simply the American name for the same typeface. [FH]

There are various digitizations. RMU’s Old Towne (2010) adds Cyrillic and Greek, and introduces an alternate binocular ‘g’. Its ‘Q’ has a tail with a straight top.
