Hollands Spoor rehabilitation PR campaign

    I’m told Hollands Spoor, the neighborhood around historical Den Haag HS train station, is not an appealing, but this charm campaign won me over as soon as I stepped off the train. The billboards advertise an ongoing effort to refurbish an area that is seen by some as derelict, unpleasant, and unsafe.

    1. Is this a case of LTypI applied to type effects? Apparently it is really tempting to add a shadow to Schadow, in this case the Black Condensed. Georg Trump started it himself – both Forum I and II essentially are shaded Schadows.

    2. Ha, Flo, it most probably is. On another note, I now can’t stop thinking of how URW once shadowed fonts that were already shadowed. Futura Shadowed Sh…
