I think this is actually the Lazybones Font.
Hi Vince, this cover design (and also the one for the Gordon Lightfoot album) indeed use Cooper Nouveau. This family by Photo-Lettering spans 3 styles; an upright weight, and two italic weights known as Cooper Nouveau Swash. Our typeface sample shows the lighter weight of the latter, which is the only one that is currently available in digital form. The covers feature the bold one, though.
Letraset’s Lazybones is very similar to this bolder weight, and was probably conceived as a me-too release. Note that it was issued only in 1972, a few years after these albums were released.
