The great Armin Hofmann designed this poster for an open-air performance of Friedrich Schiller’s play Wilhelm Tell in 1963. The typeface is probably Adrian Frutiger’s Univers 57 (the Condensed weight of the original Univers, as issued by French typefoundry Deberny & Peignot in 1957), though the number ‘1’ in the dates has been replaced by an uppercase ‘I’.
