Trade Gothic Extended

The wide styles of Trade Gothic, announced in regular and bold weights early in 1959. [McGrew] Both weights are shown with either a single-story [JBJ] or a double-story form for ‘g’. [McGrew] Virtually identical to News Gothic Extended (Intertype, 1961), with the exception of ‘t’ (bar isn’t centered) and ‘Q’ (tail crosses circle). In the Bold, ‘J’ ends flat.

Included in Linotype’s digitization of Trade Gothic (with double-story ‘g’), but not in their Trade Gothic Next.
