Alencastro is a Brazilian synth rock band formed by three friends in São Paulo. The identity is mainly typographic and inspired by the style of the 1980s. Two different typefaces were used; Avant Garde Gothic and Gotham. ITC Avant Garde Gothic includes the unicase ‘E’ in Stylistic Set 05, and the ‘CA’ ligature in Discretionary Ligatures. The deep shadow (compare Cinema / Hollywodd / Epic Shaded) is custom.
