The Munich-based agency for visual communication Favoritbuero designed the cover of the latest novel by the German-Austrian author Daniel Kehlmann, published by Rowohlt. TYLL – the title of the book and given name of its main protagonist (Till Eulenspiegel) – is written out in large orange letters from ComicTalk over The Burial of the Sardine, a painting of Francisco de Goya. The name of the author is set in the far more sober Monotype Garamond, as it’s also the case for the back of the jacket and the cover. The interior (not shown) is set in Kepler MM Roman by Dörlemann Satz, Lemförde.
