I love ultra black / super heavy / mega slab typefaces like this (Facebuster, Black Slabbath, Akimoto, West Barnum, Goliath, etc). They’re such a cool cross between psychedelic poster art from the ’60s and what a font designed by Paul Rudolph (the architectural godfather of Brutalism) might look like.
I needed a font that would be eye catching on shelf (the photo above is a cropped example of the package presence at retail) and frame the red plastic cups icons in an obvious manner. Facebuster did the trick. There’s nothing that baby can’t handle.
