Efteling dark ride “Symbolica”
“Symbolica is a trackless dark ride at Efteling theme park in the Netherlands, which opened July 1, 2017. Construction started on January 11, 2016. With a cost of €35 million, it is the most expensive project ever at Efteling. (…) The story of Symbolica is all about visiting king Pardulfus, who lives in Hartenhof (court of hearts). While the visitors await their audience with the king, a character called Pardoes (a jester who is Efteling’s main mascot) appears. The signs carry information in four languages. Adobe Trajan was chosen as primary font. Some signs also feature a Victorian face that is known under various names, including Wedlock. The version used here is the freebie WishMF. It’s unclear whether the Symbolica logo is custom drawn or based on a typeface.
