The extended pair (regular and bold) from Stephenson Blake’s Grotesque series. No. 6 was released in 1880–82. No. 8 followed in 1898 and is credited to Elisha Pechey. [Reichardt]
In 2004, Panache/HouseStyle revived No. 6, including a bold and italic, exclusively for The University of Sheffield as Blake. In 2009–10, Émilie Rigaud did a loose revival of Grotesque No. 6, expanding it to two heavier weights. See also A2 Grot10 and A2 Grot12.
