Award-winning baker Sébastien Mauvieux asked La Petite Grosse to create a high quality, mouthwatering look for his new Parisian bakery Pain Pain (Bread Bread). The design was rolled out from window lettering and staff clothing to packaging and a showcase website.

A design that thrills the international clientele in search of tradition and know-how “à la française” with a combination of simplicity and the name PainPain that makes the brand all the more accessible, just like its founder Sébastien Mauvieux.
    –– La Petite Grosse

The bakery’s new logo consists of two stacked pains, set in Sans Shaded a.k.a. Thorowgood Sans Shaded, a late 19th century typeface that makes everything it says look monumental and friendly at the same time. The dark blue and gold colour palette and the design provide the logo with a context that looks classic and sophisticated enough to prevent most Parisians and tourists to read the bakery’s name in English.
