Every Good Boy Deserves Favour is the seventh album by The Moody Blues, released in 1971. The cover with artwork by Phil Travers features lettering based on Arnold Böcklin (with some differences, see e.g. y). This anonymous typeface design was originally released by the Otto Weisert foundry in Stuttgart in 1904. Like many other Art Nouveau faces, it saw a revival in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Photo-Lettering included it in their Alphabet Thesaurus from 1971 as “Bocklin”. It was available from other phototype manufacturers, too, sometimes under aliases like “Expo”.
