A single record contains fewer tracks than an album. Comes in various formats including 7-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch vinyl records, usually playing at 45 rpm; 10-inch shellac records, playing at 78 rpm, with A-side and B-side; but also compact cassettes, compact discs (CDs), or another medium.
