A data visualization of America’s disturbing trend of imprisoning Black citizens twice as often as White ones.

The white bars signify the percentage of the prison population that is Black in each state, whereas the white ring shows the total US Black population. Each individual state’s demographic breakdown is listed at the bottom of the poster to compare to the chart’s prison demographics.
