    1. While it is a well-known fact that different countries have different opinions on correct quotation marks, not everyone might be aware that there are also local preferences for price notation. In Germany, the most common way is 1,99/1,— (the dash should be an m dash, as it stands in for two digits). This example shows that the Swedish prefer a colon over a comma – see also the comments in this Flickr thread. How are prices quoted in your country?
