DesignThinkers is Canada’s only annual conference for visual communicators. For this year’s 20th edition with events taking place in Vancouver in the spring and Toronto in the fall, Concrete created the visual identity, theme, and experiential design:
The branding and identity looks to spark a critical discussion and analysis of the contemporary realities facing Canadian design, branding, and culture. The use of bold neons, created imagery, motion, and unique typefaces work in unison to bring this concept and discussion to life.
The typography uses two custom, unreleased typefaces by Jonathon Yule, Director of Design at Concrete. The bold condensed style is part of a geometric sans named Condensa DT. It is paired with neo-grotesque known as Rapini DT.
