With Grace Core’s luminously warm debut EP, KRSNA, the artist has offered up a hi-energy provocative style blended with possessed chanting, modern pop, post-rave and hypnotic trance. These elements have come together to occupy a remarkably weird place all its own.

KRSNA started out as a custom version of NewPanam Skyline (formerly NewParis Skyline), made for two vinyl record sleeves, namely KRSNA & KRSNA RMX, by Geneva-based musician Grace Core. This experimental typeface abandons the convention of a continuous baseline and introduces a three-storey space where the letters can sit at the top, center or bottom, with the remaining space filled by bars and spikes. The resulting word images are captivating patterns with logo-like qualities.

KRSNA is part of the Lab typefaces. NewPanam Skyline is part of the NewPanam collection. Both typefaces are available from Swiss Typefaces.
