Kessler is the typeface chosen for the lastest issue of Wired Italia, a bookazine distinguished through the award-winning art direction by Pitis e Associati.

Issue n. 90 (autumn 2019) is titled “The Human Factor”, and explores how humans continue to make the difference in a world invaded by machines. The editorial designers from Milan worked with illustrators Alessandro Cripsta, Mila Leva, Mathilde Crétier, Daniel Stolle, and Marion Ben-Lisa to portray the authors and interviewees.

The illustrations on the cover and on the section openers are complemented with refined typography composed in Kessler. Titles are rendered in capitals of various sizes, center-aligned or stacked, with names set smaller, in mixed case. Pitis e Associati utilized Kessler’s optical sizes to ensure that the letterforms always have the right slenderness and grace.
