American magazine ad for British European Airways (BEA), a British airline which was formed on 1 January 1946, and merged on 31 March 1974 with British Overseas Airways Corporation to form British Airways.

The display typeface is Akzidenz-Grotesk (or Standard, as it was named in the US and the UK), tightly spaced, but with relatively wide word spaces, featuring a custom-made numero sign (). The copy is set in three columns of Times New Roman.
