Historietas Jacobeas comic zine
The Camino de Santiago is the pilgrimage route with the greatest international tradition.
The “Xacobeo year” takes place every time the date July 25th (day of the Apostle Santiago el Mayor) falls on a Sunday. This coincidence occurs 14 times in each century!
To celebrate Xacobeo 2021 we created a fanzine with an original format, made up of a set of comics created by 7 illustrators in which Jacobean iconography reigns, but with a very, very contemporary filter! The Historietas Jacobetas were commissioned by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Spain.
Pilgrims will be able to find these cartoons in the hostels along the Camino de Santiago.
The idea is that each reader can make it their own, literally: manipulate the piece; incorporate their words, ideas and actions and transform it leaving their mark.
Headlines are set in Druk Wide. Smaller texts are set in GT America and Aperçu.
