Visual identity and packaging for Modrá púpava (“Blue Dandelion”). Modrá púpava is a local cosmetic brand from Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. I have used my own typeface Plastic (made in cooperation with Jitka Janečková), which is a strong part of the visual identity of the brand. Smaller type is set in Preto Serif from DizajnDesign.

As a logo, I drew a symbol of a dandelion seed. Cosmetics firms use brown glass because of the stability and quality of products. Because of the small size of some bottles and doses, I have decided to use simple white typography and a stylized dandelion. The position of the seed is free, it resembles how it beautifully moves in the wind. Logo and typography compositions work with rotation. The brand has many products for various types of skin and for different use. I have decided to create a system of cosmetic collections separated by colors. The boxes are made without using glue, customers can unfold the box and read tips for product use.
