Freight Display and Halyard are the fonts used for the website of Redclay-Hill.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Redclay-Hill is a Black owned full-service firm of creative consultants who connect change makers to their audiences. The design of their portfolio website brings together two typeface designs by Joshua Darden. Freight Display is an oldstyle serif drawn for the use in large sizes. It’s specified for headings and testimonials. Halyard Text is a grotesk optimized for text typesetting. Distinguished from its Display sibling by more open spacing and letterforms with larger apertures and longer extenders, it serves for all smaller copy on the site, in a number of styles. The more compact Halyard Display ensures cohesive word images for UI buttons.
The testimonials combine Freight Display Book with the Bold weight for subtle inline emphasis. Names are rendered in caps from Halyard Text.
The Quick Facts section makes prominent use of Freight Display’s default oldstyle figures.
