    Walter Tiemann’s Narziß (Klingspor, 1922), better known abroad as Narcissus, used by Will Jordan for the book jacket of New Year’s Eve. Via Lorne Bair Rare Books:

    Play set in Manhattan, exploring themes of infidelity and disillusionment among upper-middle class intellectuals. The play was first produced by Harold Clurman and Lee Strasberg at the Group Theater, 1929.
