The Hop Rod is a gasoline-powered pogo stick manufactured by Chance Mfg. Co. Inc. in Wichita, Kansas. In the late 1960s and 1970s, Fat Albert was used to advertise the novelty toy. The shaded caps can be seen in TV commercials, a product brochure, on the packaging, and on the Hop Rod itself.
