In Figure Drawing we wanted a distinctive display typeface that felt figurative, fleshy and expressive; one that would also pair well with body copy fonts. Used for chapter openers and headers, Roslindale sets the tone perfectly for this guide to drawing the human body.

“In Figure Drawing I aimed to simultaneously recognise the historical traditions of drawing, the timelessness human subject and the inherently contemporary nature of 21st century life drawing; as well as looking great in itself, Roslindale reflected all of those qualities perfectly.” – Jake Spicer
