Limited first edition of the first and only novel by Timothy Leary (1920–1996), self-published in 1976 while imprisoned in San Diego, with the help of his then-wife Joanna Harcourt-Smith (1946–2020), under the one-off imprint 88 Books. Comes in 5,000 numbered copies, with a preface by Robert Anton Wilson.

The cover typography is composed of Countdown in a single size, in all caps for the title and all lowercase letters for the author’s name, with filled-in counters. The border as well as the equivocal over- and underbars might have been made from elements found on the Letraset sheet, too.
