The Maximilian-Gesellschaft is a German bibliophile society. Founded in 1911, it has published several titles on various aspects of the book trades, as well as more less academic prints and artists’ books. Its members’ publication for 2021 is a new edition of a text from Judith Hermann’s Sommerhaus, später (2004). This was sent to all members of the society, and is also available for non-members to purchase.

A hardcover book, the Maximilian-Gesellschaft’s Sommerhaus, später was designed by Stefan Gunnesch. 700 copies were printed and bound by the DZA Druckerei zu Altenburg GmbH. The book’s dimensions are 17 × 25 cm, and it is 64 pages long. Gunnesch’s design for the book uses Univers and Malabar.
