Inigo is an estate agency for Britain’s most marvellous historic homes. The project is best described by citing the creatives behind the Identity; London-based Design Practice Studio Small:
Named after the 17th c. English classicist architect Inigo Jones, our brief was to create an identity that was as playfully colourful, irreverent and decorative, as The Modern House is monochrome, minimalist, and utilitarian.
In defining this new territory we took inspiration from Charleston, the highly decorative Sussex home of the Bloomsbury set, exploring the uninhibited rich visual language of the colours and patterns that can be found there as well as in the work of some of its associated 20th c. artists.
We purposely subverted the typefaces to illustrate that although sisters they have different personalities: serif heavy for Inigo and sans heavy for The Modern House.
