Von sieben bis zehn
Von Bis is an exhibition periodical at HBKsaar, initiated by Atelier Lanz, atelier for fine arts and photography. Over a period of time, the students of HBKsaar got the possibility to develop and display art in the architectural context of an historic building in the old town of Saarbrücken: Bismarckstraße 60. The students dealt with the fixed conditions of architecture and built their art concept on it. Von Bis contains different periods, each involving three exhibitions.
To present and archive the art exhibitions 7–10, this catalogue was created by Céline Lehnert and Julia Iserbeck. The design concept is based on the first two editions of this periodical. It was adapted to create a final edition.
The design concept deals with the relationship of windows and doors as points of transition between the inner and the outer sphere. The artworks and the architecture they happen within play a key role in this process. Each art piece portrayed deals with the hand drawn floor plan displaying door and window positions only, to transfer a location module in the printed medium.
