Andreas Blindert is a designer based in Germany whose practice focuses on typography. When not designing, Andreas thinks and writes about the intersection of type, politics, and society. His book Politics of Type examines where typography includes or excludes, how it either reveals or disguises power structures, how we think about typefaces as products or services, who controls the the type market and how it connects to the representation of culture, individuals, and society. The book was made for his Master of Arts degree at the Hochschule Mainz.

Andreas typeset the cover and pages in Zetkin by Inga Plönnigs (available via Future Fonts).
