i needed to confirm a quote for my next column on medical corruption. i could not find the text on the internet and my old copy of Miss Smilla has been in storage for 3 years so found another from the same vintage (mine was 1993, this is 1996). it arrived looking like this :-))

the politically correct American Edition changed the title completely to “Smilla’s Sense of Snow” the previous owner of this copy has… compromised
