Casper Seyna – Maiden Voyage album art
Artwork for my first live album Maiden Voyage. The cover features two stacked lines of Sharp Sans Display No. 2 used for both artist name and release title. The typeface selection was easy in this case, since my music is inspired by late 1970s and early 1980s avant garde electronic music. Obviously it was a must to use a typeface that is also inspired by that era. A suitable choice for the subtitle font was Poppins used in its Semibold weight.
The artwork presents Sharp Display in its Extrabold variant with the Lubalin capitals and ligatures switched on, as an homage to the famous Avant Garde interlocking capital style.
