Created in 2017, the Chaire Arts & Sciences is jointly supported by the École Polytechnique, the École des Arts Décoratifs, and the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation. Combining a foundation committed to “Citizen Art” and two teaching and research institutions, the Chaire Arts & Sciences develops activities under the sign of cooperation and interdependence: between disciplines, between the academic world and civil society, between humans and their terrestrial and technical environments.
The Chaire sets up multidisciplinary cooperations with research projects, mixing artistic and scientific practices and citizen questioning, through installations, performances, training through practice, collaborative workshops, internships, which contribute to institutional decompartmentalization.
The Chaire has called upon the services of the graphic design studio Baldinger•Vu-Huu to create their visual identity, their website, as well as several printed materials related to the events proposed by the Chaire. They chose to work with BVH Anto Rounded, which they augmented with a set of graphic signs, which are interspersed in the text spaces.
