After the two-line Yagi Double in 1972 and the seven-line Aki Lines in 1976, the Spirograph product line issued from 1983 on came dressed in yet another multiline typeface. This time it’s Optex, a geometric sans with one thick line and two fine lines. It was designed by Philip Kelly and Bob Newman and released by Letraset in 1970, maybe in response to Filmsense.
