ANIMARIO is an international festival of contemporary animation organized and hosted by Matadero Madrid, Centre for Contemporary Creation. This year’s edition is focused on Chinese animation. The graphic identity including the animated posters was designed by Mario Cano with BallPill by Benoît Bodhuin and STHeiti for the Chinese text (just like for the previous edition). Whyte is the text typeface used alongside BallPill in the program booklet.
The other fonts – Cineteca’s custom Matadero Stencil and Madrid’s Gill Sans, are not part of Cano’s design.
