Logo mixing Balboa typeface & hand-painted letters
This is a student project, made as part of my Bachelor diploma project at LISAA Paris. At the time, Les Récupérables was a real brand, but unfortunately closed in November 2022. Long live Les Récupérables!
Unlike fast fashion, slow fashion is a movement that values the production of eco-responsible clothing, respectful of the environment but also of humans. In one sentence: consume less, but better.
Les Récupérables is an up-cycling sustainable fashion brand that produces its clothes from deadstock fabrics. Produced in very limited quantities, their clothes are made in insertion workshops throughout France and Portugal.
The new identity I designed for Les Récupérables evokes a patchwork of elements, different pieces that when put together tell a whole new story. The goal of this project was to transcribe this bold and creative aspect in a new visual identity, while highlighting the human and ethical dimensions of the brand.
Balboa is the main typeface, used for headlines and logo; the accompanying typeface for smaller texts is Ygro Sans.
