Pinkcore is a 37-page magazine compendium of New York-based multimedia artist Qinru Zhang’s work addressing uncanny femininity with film, animation, and installations. It is a collection of Zhang’s inspirations, ideation process, and questions during her process of making her recent work Homecore (2022), The MILF Collection (2021–), and Momomomomi (2022), which have been exhibited in galleries and spaces in New York City, Denver, Beijing, and Xiamen. Pink and decorative visual language dedicated to the feminine and eerie style is used in the design to recall the aggressive and feminine aesthetics in Zhang’s work as well as to question the existing gender restrictions on women in a patriarchal society.

The cover and title font is Black Rose by Bright Ideas and the body text font is Bastardo Grotesk*ish by Giulia Boggio.
