Harry & The Thief is an “on-stage action movie meets time travel comedy”. This poster promotes the Pavement Group’s production of the play.

    From designer Luke Williams:

The basis of this comedy is time travel. This was such a key component that I knew I wouldn’t be able to avoid working it into the artwork. Determined not to fall onto trite or common visual crutches, that’s when I re-discovered the lost material of carbon paper.

Carbon paper exists to duplicate itself, or in the case of my original poster concept, leave a 'history’ of itself.

In order to represent this material reincarnation, both the carbon paper and its rubbings needed to be present together, symbolizing the past in two parts: the past that once was, as well as a new version of that past.
