Kushell is a phototypeface shown by Lettergraphics in their 1968 catalog. The design is at least half a century older than that: Kushell is based on an untitled capital alphabet shown in the 1917 edition of Strong’s Book of Designs by Detroit-based lettering artist Charles Jay Strong (1866–1910) and his son Lawrence Stewart Strong (1888–1977). Formatt had a version for dry transfer lettering named Tinker. Solotype carried it as Castaway. There are various digital interpretations, see the typeface page for details.
