Alongside designer José Carlos Bornancini, Nelson Ivan Petzold (1931–2018) created children’s cutlery with prince and princess designs that were a hit in the 1970s. The partnership between the two resulted in the development of more than 200 products in numerous segments of the industry. See a related set from 1975 on the website of the Museu da Casa Brasileira.
Petzold was an icon of design from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
