For the graphic design of “Volume,” a new pop-up blending music and mixology, typography played a central role in shaping the visual identity. The chosen typeface, Victor Montet’s Bonto from Blaze Type, stands out for its bold and modern character, perfectly aligning with the contemporary and cutting-edge spirit of Volume.
The Bonto typeface embodies the essence of the project: a subtle balance between tradition and modernity, much like the carefully curated events held in a modern speakeasy setting, where every detail is designed for an immersive experience. The geometric and clean shapes of Bonto reflect the precision and elegance found in the vinyl music selection and the finely crafted cocktails. Bonto is paired with Siri Lee Lindskrog’s Silvana Display, also available from Blaze Type.
This visual identity was developed by Superpoint, a global design studio founded in 2023 by Eva Nizzoli and Ugo Heritier, based in Marseille and London, and working worldwide. Superpoint offers services ranging from art direction and branding to product and furniture design. Their multidisciplinary and complementary approach provides a holistic vision for each project, ensuring every detail is thought through. For Volume, they aimed to create a unique design, both in essence and form, delivering a custom, innovative solution that resonates with the immersive atmosphere of the pop-up.
Typography thus becomes a powerful emotional driver, visually guiding the audience through an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and energetic, mirroring the fusion of vinyl sounds and cocktail flavors. The logo and graphic elements created with Bonto establish a strong visual coherence, highlighting the unique character of Volume.
