Ca. 1865. [Reichardt] AKA Italian Condensed and often sold in Germany as Italienne and UK as French Antique No. 1.
Reissued by ATF as P.T. Barnum (used for sample).
This mostly unbracketed design is not to be confused with the flat-sided, bracketed style of French Clarendon in wood. French Antique is similar but with lower contrast.
