Klinkhardt

The publishing house Julius Klinkhardt was founded in Leipzig in 1834. In 1861, it got its own print office, and in 1871, Klinkhardt acquired Gustav Schelter’s foundry. The type-founding division was taken over by Berthold in 1920 and continued as their Böttger-Klinkhardt branch. The publishing house still exists today. [Klingspor-Museum]
