Designed by Ernst Lauschke (sometimes misspelled as Larschke) and first cast in 1888 by BB&S as Dormer. Reissued in c. 1925 as Pekin. Also cast by Poppelbaum (as Zierschrift Alexandra), Società Urania (as Serie Bosforo), ldźkowski/Lehmann (as Gejsza) [Reichardt, MacMillan & Krandall].
Available as film type from VGC. Digital revivals by Solotype (2004) in a “regularized” version and, more faithful to the original and including many alternates, by Tom Wallace/HiH (2010, used for sample).
