An original design by the Central Type Foundry in c. 1885. Loy credits the design to Edwin C. Ruthven, [Loy 2009] but this is unconfirmed. Sold as Asfodelo by Società Augusta. [Reichardt 2011]

Revived in 1974 at Compugraphic [Chaurize / Agfa, 1994] from the T.J. Lyons Collection, but with the interior shading of the original removed. [Compugraphic 1976] Added to Letraset’s Letragraphica range. [1978 ad] [Modern Publicity]
