Herkules

Issued by Haas in 1899. Società Augusta had the same design as Ausonia, Slevarna as Komenius, Trennert as Prometheus (cont. by Weber), Böttger as Teutonia (before 1907, also by Berling), and Gans as Vulcano (with added outline style, Vulcano contorno) [Reichardt] Later also carried by Letraset and Berthold Fototypes.

Digitizations include Huk (Castcraft, 1990–94, used for the sample), an unsatisfying freebie by Dieter Steffmann (2004), and Excalibur Nouveau (Typo-Graf, 2015).

Not to be confused with Berthold’s Herkules (digital as Karolla Black).
