Max Phillips’ wonderful workhorse FF Spinoza is used beautifully for this designer’s personal web project about film effects from the past to present. Designed in a simple, accessible manner, the typeface performs superbly both as a textface and display.

    1. The site is nicely done, and it’s an uncommon and welcome typeface choice. The text is lacking some basic typographic sophistication, though, like oldstyle numerals and proper apostrophes.

    2. So many things this site got right. Weirdly, I feel Spinoza is very similar to Minion in smaller sizes and bold.
