Chicago blues singer Chester Arthur Burnett, aka Howlin’ Wolf, famously disliked this attempt by record producer Marshall Chess to “update” his music with psychedelic arrangements. The copy on the cover was Chess’s idea, too. No wonder the album sold poorly!
